Electronic signature disclosure
Version: esign-disclosure-v1
The sender has sent you the document to sign electronically through Sealpost. Before you open it, here is what signing electronically means and what your choices are.
1. You do not have to sign electronically. If you would rather sign on paper, close this page and ask the sender for a paper copy. We do not charge you anything either way. Not signing electronically does not change the terms of the document itself.
2. What signing electronically means. When you draw, type or upload your signature and press “Sign and send back”, that is your signature, with the same effect as signing with a pen. The finished document carries your signature, the date and time you signed, and a sealed record of events that shows the document has not changed since.
3. What we record. To show that it was you who signed, Sealpost records the time of each step, the internet address and browser you used, and, if the sender turned it on, the code sent to your phone or email. These are written into the document’s record of events. We do not record anything else from your device. The privacy notice has the full list.
4. What you need. A current web browser on a phone, tablet or computer with an internet connection, an email address or phone number where you can receive messages from Sealpost, and a way to open or save PDF files. If the sender turned on phone authentication, a phone that can receive text messages. We will tell you on this page if those requirements change in a way that would stop you reaching your documents.
5. Your copy. When everyone has signed, the finished PDF and its record of events are emailed to the address this request came to. You can download them from that email at any time during the period the sender keeps the document, which is at least one year and seven years by default. You can also ask the sender for a paper copy. We do not charge for copies.
6. Keeping your contact details current. If the email address or phone number this request reached you at changes, tell the sender. Sealpost only sends to the address the sender gave.
7. Changing your mind. You can stop at any point before pressing the final button; nothing you entered is kept and the sender is not told you declined unless you press “Decline”. After you have signed and sent the document back, the signature stands and cannot be withdrawn from this page. If you want to withdraw consent to electronic records for future documents from the sender, tell them directly; they will send paper instead. If you cannot reach the sender, email privacy@sealpost.app and we will pass your withdrawal to them and note it on our side. Withdrawing consent does not undo a document you already signed.
8. Who runs this. Sealpost is a service of DigiMar Inc, 2079 Global Ct, Sarasota, FL 34240. Questions about the document go to the sender. Questions about how Sealpost works or about your data go to privacy@sealpost.app.
By ticking the box, you confirm that you can read this disclosure on this device, that you can receive email or text messages at the address or number this request came to, and that you agree to sign the document electronically.
